No. 3 prospect in '17 visits campus
Gary, Ind., West Side point guard Dana Evans is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the Class of 2017 by ProspectsNation.com. She recently narrowed her list of schools and made a key visit this week.
Evans made an unofficial visit to the University of Louisville and called the day "just great."
The 5-foot-6 Evans has a list of schools that includes, Baylor, DePaul, Louisville, Indiana, Marquette, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Tennessee, UCLA, West Virginia. She led the state of Indiana in scoring last season at 35.7 points a game.
Evans, who scored 40 points or more nine times, is expected to narrow her list sometime in the next month.
2018 star attends Elite Camp
Caitlin Bickle, the No. 11 overall player in the Class of 2018 in the ESPN rankings, attended Louisville's Elite Camp last Saturday at Cardinal Arena and was one of the standout players.
It was the second visit to U of L for the 6-foot-1 Bickle, who is from Cave Creek, Ariz.
"I really like Louisville a lot," Bickle said. She added that she's looking at other schools but when asked for a list she noted: "Louisville, for sure."
Bickle showed a high motor and was very agile and versatile. She's a big-time wing prospect in the '18 class.
"I thought I did pretty good," Bickle said of camp. "After when I talked to coach (Jeff) Walz, he told me to work on my foot work and to work on my first step past players, so I can get by them and then step back."
ESPN has Bickle as the No. 2 wing in the '18 class.
Top in-state prospects attends camp
Lincoln County High School's Emma King is one of the elite 2019 prospects in the state of Kentucky and she attended camp.
King, who averaged 15.2 points a game as a freshman, is a 5-foot-10 guard. She hit 30 three-pointers during her high school season but showed a lot of range and knocked down some shots in camp.
King is an elite prospect to keep an eye on.

--Greenwood, Ind., Center Grove 2019 guard Ella Thompson. She's a 5-foot-6 guard.
--Atlanta, Ga., 2018 guard Morgan Jones, who is the No. 18 player in the '18 class.
--Michelle Sidor, a guard from Saddle River, N.J., who averaged 27 points as a freshman.
--Rickie Woltman, a 6-4 center from St. Louis and a top target in the 2019 class.
--Derby, Kan., 6-5 center Kennedy Brown in the Class of 2019.
--Amari Davidson, a 6-2 forward from Avon, Ohio, who is a top 2018 target.
