Former Louisville guard Damion Lee will play in the NBA Summer League starting next week with the Miami Heat. Lee, a graduated student who played at U of L for one season, went undrafted on Thursday in the NBA Draft.

Damion Lee didn't hear his named called in the NBA Draft on Thursday night.

But the former University of Louisville guard is getting a shot in the NBA Summer League starting next week with the Miami Heat. Lee confirmed the news on Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-6 Lee, who played one season at U of L after three at Drexel, will begin play with the Heat on July 2 in Orlando.

He led the Cardinals in scoring last season at 15.9 points a game and had hoped to be drafted in the second round. He had a bunch of workouts in the spring and landed with the Heat.

Trey Lewis is still finalizing what team he'll play with in the summer league.
