A look at day three of the evaluation period as the Louisville basketball staff hits most of its top targets on Friday

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - The University of Louisville basketball staff was all over the place again on Friday, the third day of the first evaluation period of the month. The main focus on this day was the adidas Gauntlet and the Nike Peach Jam in Augusta.

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino and his staff were all over the place again on Friday.

The Cardinals head coach was in Augusta with assistant Kenny Johnson at the Nike Peach Jam and the Peach Invitational, while assistant Mike Balado was at the adidas Gauntlet finals and David Padgett in Philadelphia at the Elevate Hoops event.

Padgett saw U of L top target Malik Williams win three games with his Legit Basketball team, claiming the silver bracket of the event.

In Spartanburg, S.C., Balado watched Makai Ashton-Langford help his Mass Rivals team win three games, including one over Romeo Langford's Eric Gordon All-Stars, and make it into the Gauntlet finals against Team Loaded-Va.

Both assistants are expected to stay at the same events on Saturday.

Pitino and Johnson saw 11 games on Friday, including two of Team United's games where Alex O'Connell was impressive enough to earn a scholarship offer. The two also saw Matt Coleman and Boo Williams at the Peach Invitational.

Team Takeover - Luka Garza and D.J. Harvey - had Pitino in attendance twice, while PSA Cardinals guard Brandon Randolph was the center of attention in the afternoon.

Pitino also saw Chaundee Brown from Nike South Beach and Jordan Tucker and Hamido Diallo from the NY Rens, while also checking out the CIA Bounce team in the morning and ending his day with CP3 and DeVontae Shuler.

The duo also checked out Team Takeover's 16s team and Brandon Slater.
