The lights will be shining bright on Friday night at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium as Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino and his staff welcome a large and talented group of athletes for the program's annual Friday night camp, called 'Light up the 'Ville'.
(Cardinal Authority has confirmed the participation of a number of highly sought-after recruits and is providing a detailed list and will have updates throughout the week for subscribers in the Insiders Forum. Click here to view or gain access.)
The camp will welcome dozens of athletes from states throughout the region and further. In addition to players from Kentucky and border states Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and West Virginia expected to participate, but others from across the southeast and further reaches, including California, New York and Michigan will also be learning from the U of L staff on Friday evening.
Many of the participants are key prospects for the U of L staff, with some already holding scholarship offers from Louisville.
Among them, four-star athlete Russ Yeast of Greenwood, Ind. The former Kentucky commit has made multiple visits with U of L and is strongly considering the Cardinals, along with Auburn, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State and Northwestern.
Neptune Beach (Fla.) Fletcher offensive lineman Cordavien Suggs, Apopka athlete Demetri Burch and Miami Central defensive end Owen Carney are among a group from the Sunshine State that currently hold U of L offers.
Helping represent a number of athletes arriving from the Volunteer State is Nashville Hillsboro three-star defensive tackle Ben Hutch, who includes Louisville, Texas A&M, Memphis, Ole Miss and Tennessee among his list of scholarship offers.
