Julian Barnett, a Class of 2019 wide receiver from Belleville, Mich., camped at Louisville and said he "loves" the Cardinals

Julian Barnett, a Class of 2019 wide receiver from Belleville, Mich., camped at Louisville on Friday night. Barnett recaps the camp and what he liked about the U of L campus.

Belleville, Mich., High School's football team has a lot of talent and more than a half dozen prospects came to the University of Louisville on Friday Night for the Light Up The Ville camp.

Several of the Belleville prospects were impressive at the camp, including 2019 wide receiver Julian Barnett.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Barnett had a very good night at camp, running crisp routes and showing great hands and speed. He was one of the better wide receivers in a group that was deep in talent.

"I really had fun at the camp," Barnett said. "It was a good experience and I think I really did good.

"I felt untouchable when I hit the field because that's just how I was feeling after that long ride."

Barnett already has offers from Iowa State, Kentucky and Toledo and should have plenty more coming his way. He was a standout at the Chicago Opening among the underclassmen back in May and also at several other regionals camps.

And now he hopes the U of L coaches take notice.

"I hope the staff really liked me because I went there to put on a show and do what I had to do," Barnett said. "I like Louisville when I stepped on the field with my teammates I said, 'I love this stadium' and then being on that field just felt great. I loved it there."
