Belleville, Mich., High School offensive tackle Devontae Dobbs is only a rising sophomore, but he sure doesn't look or play like he's only a member of the Class of 2019.
Nope. The 6-foot-5, 265-pound Dobbs is physically impressive and looked the part at the University of Louisville's Light Up The Ville camp on Friday nigh at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
"I think I did great," Dobbs said. "I think I exceeded the coaches standards in everything that I did from the drills to the one-on-ones.
"I was complimented on my technique as well. I think the coaches are good and they have a great atmosphere."
Dobbs is considered one of the top prospects in the Midwest in the '19 class and already has nine scholarship offers. The offers include Tennessee, Michigan State, Penn State, Florida, Kentucky, Iowa State, Cincinnati, Toledo and Eastern Michigan.
After big-time performances at the Elite Big Man Camp and Chi Showcase camps in April, Dobbs first offer came from Iowa State.
Dobbs, who said he also planned to attend camp at Ohio State, started for Belleville as a freshman last year and is expected to be on both sides of the line this season.
