A recap of day five from the University of Louisville basketball staffs road trip during the third evaluation period of the summer

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Day five of the third - and final - evaluation period of the summer for college basketball coaches is over and the University of Louisville staff spent time ended the summer in Miami and Las Vegas.

The summer recruiting is complete for the University of Louisville basketball staff.

But the Cardinals' finished strong on the recruiting trail with all four coaches out on the road on the final day of the third evaluation period on Sunday. Coaches could be at events until 5 o'clock.

Louisville assistant coaches Kenny Johnson and David Padgett watched top point guard target Makai Ashton-Langford lead his team to eight win this week - 21-0 on the summer - and the title in the adidas Summer Championships.

In the title game win over Garner Road, Ashton-Langford had 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. In the semifinals against Team Loaded, Ashton-Langford had 11 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Ashton-Langford was tracked all summer by the U of L staff and remains a top target.

Louisville head coach Rick Pitino and assistant Mike Balado finished the summer in Miami, watching Team Breakdown. Elijah Weaver and Anfernee Simons are two top 2018 targets of the Cardinals on Team Breakdown.
