College of San Mateo defensive lineman Ratu Mafileo said he had a "very good" visit to the University of Louisville last week.
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound Mafileo, who is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, has been committed to Texas A&M since May and is slated to enroll somewhere in less than two weeks. He said now he has "something to really" think about.
Mafileo made the official visit to Louisville on Thursday and Friday and was slated to then go to Georgia but called it off.
"The visit just went great," Mafileo told Cardinal Authority. "I loved everything about it."
After the visit to U of L, Mafileo said he is "still in the decision process." He has also made official visits to Texas A&M and Oregon and said he's waiting to make a final call until he gets his grades back from this last summer semester.
"I'm just waiting on my final grades from school," he said.
Mafileo would arrive on a campus in two weeks and would then have three years of eligibility.
"I know all of these programs are top-notch as far as football is concerned," he said.
Mafielo played high school ball at Moanalua High. He signed with San Mateo in the fall of 2014 for academic reasons but was a redshirt that fall before playing last season.
