Louisville OL commitment Poutasi Poutasi makes unofficial to Louisville; gets to see campus for the first time since he committed in May

Louisville offensive lineman commitment Poutasi Poutasi made an unofficial visit to the University of Louisville last week; it was the first time the Las Vegas Desert Pines High School standout had been to the U of L campus.

Las Vegas Desert Pines High School standout offensive lineman Poutasi Poutasi made a verbal commitment to the University of Louisville in May without every stepping foot on the Cardinals' campus.

Poutasi said he hoped when he made the trek to Louisville that he would find it "even better" than he had imagined. Well, the first trip came last week and the 6-foot-3, 275-pound Poutasi said he "just loved" everything about Louisville.

"It was the best," Poutasi said. "I loved it.

"I saw everything that I wanted to see while I was there and I just loved it all."

Poutasi, the No. 1 offensive guard in Nevada and No. 6 in the West region, also held offers Colorado State, Hawaii, Nevada, UNLV and San Diego State at the time of his commitment.

He said the visit assured him that he made the right pick and he's ready to get back to Louisville.

"My official visit is when I'll be back," Poutasi said.
