For the fourth time in this recruiting cycle, Louisville has plucked a commitment from the state of Georgia.
The Atlanta area wide receiver Josh Johnson became the latest to pledge to the Cardinals, announcing his decision via the social media app Twitter.
"First I would like to start by thanking God for blessing me with the talent to play the game of football," he said. "I would also like to thank my friends, family and coaches for helping me through this recruitment process. It has been a long journey, but I am glad to say I will continue my football career and academics at the University of Louisville."
Johnson, who plays at Woodward Academy in College Park, also held scholarship offers from Boston College, Colorado State, Illinois, Kansas State, Rutgers, Wake Forest and others before committing to Louisville.
He totaled 51 receptions for 1,111 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior.
Johnson is 16th member of the 2017 recruiting class.
