Cardinal Authority provides a look at Louisville's group of tight ends heading into fall camp

Louisville's group of tight ends may be its most experienced group.

A pair of seniors, Keith Towbridge and Cole Hikutini highlight a position that includes four players that played in 11 or more games last season and combined for 49 receptions for 736 yards and nine touchdowns.

Towbridge, who started seven games last season, was hampered by injury during the spring but has returned to complete form and joins Hikutini as a feature tight end.  Towbridge hauled in 10 catches for 154 yards and three scores, with Hikutini leading the group with 348 yards and three touchdowns on 19 receptions.

Sophomore Micky Crum appeared in 12 games last fall and will continue to be a contributor in 2016.  Crum totaled 14 catches for 163 yards three touchdowns.  Junior Charles Standberry will also compete this season for added reps after totaling six catches for 71 yards in 13 games in 2015.

Freshman Austin Cummins will provide depth, but is a likely redshirt candidate for this season.
