It's never too early for college basketball coaches to take a peek into the future.
And the University of Louisville staff did just that during the month of July, recruiting a few prospects from the Class of 2019. The ardinals have offered several prospects and are paying close attention to an in-state star.
Perhaps the prospect with the most interest from the staff is Rochester, Minn., forward Matthew Hurt, who is a top 10 prospects that Rick Pitino watched during the second evaluation period of the summer. The Cardinals offered two weeks ago.
There are several other prospects the staff watched, including Trinity's David Johnson and top prospects Balsa Koprivica, Vernon Carey and R.J. Barrett. The Cardinals have offered the latter three players, all top 20 prospects.
While there's still plenty of time for the '19 class to take shape, here's a look at an early 'big board' for the Cardinals.
