A video look at the defensive line position for the University of Louisville football team this

Cardinal Authority is running a position series as a preseason football feature to help you get familiar with the entire University of Louisville roster. Along with a breakdown of the position and a feature story each day we will do a video preview. Here's a look at today's video preview of the Louisville defensive line position.

The University of Louisville lost first-round NFL Draft pick Sheldon Rankins off the defensive line from last season.

U of L coach L.D. Scott says he's not going to replace Rankins with one player, but he has a solid guy in the middle and some depth to help fill the hole for the loss of Rankins.

"We can't do it with one person," Scott said. "But we have a bunch of guys who have been working hard."

DeAngelo Brown is the big man in the middle for the Cardinals and will anchor the line, while Drew Bailey and Johnny Richardson are guys who expected to have bigger role for the Cardinals.
