One day after finishing up her official visit to the University of Louisville, Gary, Ind., West Side elite point guard Dana Evans announced that she had narrowed her list of schools to three.
And the Cardinals made the cut.
Evans said she will make her decision from between Louisville, Purdue and Tennessee.
Th 5-foot-6 Evans made her way up to No. 7 in the Class of 2017 rankings by ESPN.com after a sensational summer. She won a gold medal with the USA Basketball U-18 national team and played well for the Indiana Gym Rats.
Evans said last month she knew once the AAU season was over it was time to start thinking about college.
"It's going to be a very tough decision for me, very tough," she said. "I have a lot of good schools."
Evans has previously also been listing UCLA, Vanderbilt, DePaul, Indiana and Oklahoma State.
"It's important that I make the right decision," Evans said.
While she said last month there was no favorite, Evans said the U of L program was "high" on her list for a number of reasons. She said U of L coach Jeff Walz and his staff have done a "great job of building a relationship."
"Louisville is just a great program all around," she said. "They have a great coaching staff and they care about you. Look at the team, half of the team is McDonald's All-Americans; they're loaded with players. They had another great recruiting class.
