Louisville extends an offer to Class of 2019 standout J.J. Weaver of Moore High School; he was at the Louisville game on Thursday night

Louisville extends another offer to a top 2019 prospect from the city of Louisville. The Cardinals offered Moore High School defensive end J.J. Weaver after his visit on Thursday night.

It was a big night on Thursday for J.J. Weaver.

The Moore High School defensive end is one of the top prospects in the Class of 2019 and attended his first Louisville game as a prospect, watching the Cardinals whip Charlotte 70-14.

Weaver left with a scholarship offer.

The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Weaver looks the part and had seven tackles in his first game for the Mustangs this season. He was invited by the U of L staff to the Charlotte game after they watched his film from a win over Southern.

Weaver is the third '19 prospect in the city that Louisville has offered, including Trinity defensive end Stephen Herron and Doss defensive end Shawnkel Knight-Goff. All three could end up being among the best prospects in the state.
