The University of Louisville will host ESPN's GameDay program for the first time in school history. The Cardinals will host Florida State on Saturday at noon on ABC.

It's official.

ESPN's College GameDay is headed to the University of Louisville for the first time.

The Cardinals will play host to the signature program weekly in college football prior to next Saturday's noon game against No. 3 Florida State in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

“We’re excited to have ESPN College GameDay coming to Louisville,” said Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich. “The show’s presence here is really a great tribute to our football program. I know our fans will embrace all of the pageantry surrounding Saturday’s event and carry that enthusiasm into the stadium to support our team during the game."

The matchup pits two of the top teams in the ACC. Both teams are 2-0 with Lamar Jackson throwing for seven touchdowns and rushing for six in his first two games, while FSU freshman quarterback Deondre Francois has over 650 passing yards in his first two games.

The location for the broadcast has not been finalized.

Louisville said in a release late Saturday night that details for the fans would be released at a later date.
