Louisville extends a scholarship offer to North Carolina long snapper Mitch Hall; his second scholarship offer

The University of Louisville football team extends a scholarship offer to North Carolina long snapper Mitch Hall. He's the No. 2 ranked long snapper in the Class of 2017.

It takes a special long snapper to get a scholarship offer in college football.

But it appears the Louisville Cardinals football staff may have found a special prospect at the position.

The Cardinals have offered a scholarship to Clayton, N.C., High School long snapper Mitch Hall, who is ranked as the No. 2 long snapper in the country and will play in the U.S. Army All-American game in January.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Hall said the offer is his second and noted he has preferred walk-on spots from several big programs. His other offer is from Memphis.

"I like it a lot," Hall said of the Louisville offer. "It's a phenomenal atmosphere and a great campus."

Hall did camp at Louisville over the summer and said he would return for a visit to the N.C. State game next month.
