Belfry High School offensive lineman Cole Bentley is excited about the start to his season.
The Pirates are 3-0 and Bentley has been a force on both sides of the ball, including his time at nose guard where he's second on the team with 18 tackles in three games.
"I'm playing aggressive on both sides of the ball, but smarter," Bentley said. "My blocking is great. I have been working to keep my feet improving and I am getting faster day-by-day."
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Bentley is actually playing tight end for the Pirates. He ranks as the No. 27 offensive guard in the country.
Bentley committed to Louisville in June and said he is super excited about Louisville's 2-0 start. He also received some good news this week when he found out he would be able to graduate in December and enroll in January.
"Yes, it's official," Bentley said. "And I am so excited."
Bentley will be able to participate in spring drills and said getting to campus early would give him a leg up as a freshman.
"I hope it does," he said. "I'm excited about it."
Bentley will be one of the 70-plus visitors on campus for Saturday's game against Florida State.
