Norcross, Ga., High School four-star forward Lance Thomas has his list cut and his visits set.
The 6-foot-10 Thomas is even set on making his college decision on Nov. 1.
But before he makes a decision there's still some pitches left from coaches, including Louisville coach Rick Pitino. The Hall of Fame coach will have Thomas on campus on Oct. 21 for his official visit.
Pitino was in Georgia tonight for an in-home visit. Thomas confirmed Pitino and assistant coach Mike Balado spent time at his home chatting with him about the program and spending some time with his mother.
"It was really good," Thomas said. "His confidence was impeccable and it gave me a whole lot of confidence in him and his program. He talked business outside of basketball and how he could help in this aspect of my life when I get to the NBA.
"He was really good."
Louisville jumped in late for Thomas, offering him in the middle of the summer. But Pitino and staff have quickly caught up with the other schools and Thomas put them in his final four and schedule a visit, noting they "have really been honest and really made up ground."
Thomas visited Florida last weekend and will visit Miami, Fla., this weekend. After a month off the road, Thomas will be in Louisville on Oct. 21 and the next weekend will make the trip to USC.
Thomas ranks as the No. 15 power forward in the 2017 recruiting class.
