Orlando, Fla., Christian Prep 2018 forward Nassir Little received quite a compliment from University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino when he was watching him workout earlier this week.
Little said Pitino compared him to one of his current players.
"We talked after today and they were saying I could come in for Deng Adel and be that piece in the wing," Little said. "They said my length is good for the wing. I am a good shooter, so they think I can add to their team with my ability to shoot it from the wing."
The 6-foot-6 Little said he watched Louisville a few times last season and said Pitino and assistant coach Mike Balado also showed him some clips of Adel and what he does for the current Cardinals.
"I think some of the things I do mirror what he's done for them," Little said. "So that's exciting for me."
Little, who ranks No. 47 in the Scout.com rankings for the '18 class, also has offers from Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Miami, Stanford, Virginia and Virginia Tech among others.
Playing for Showtime Hoops in the spring and summer, Little said his game has improved.
"My jump shot has improved a whole bunch," Little said. "It was looking really good (when Pitino was watching)."
Little said he had previously set up a visit for Louisville over the summer but then had to cancel. He said he's been talking to Balado about coming to visit the Cardinals during a game this season.
"It was crazy for Rick Pitino to be there, watching me," Little said. "A lot of the people there were starstruck to see him there. A guy that has done that much in the game of basketball, it was pretty crazy for him there watching me play."
