Lawrenceville, Ga., Central Gwinnett 2018 quarterback Jarren Williams has been committed to the University of Kentucky since the middle of June and said he really hasn't been checking out other schools.
"I'm not looking but you never know what could happen," Williams said.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Williams is still being recruited by other schools, including Louisville, and last week took an unofficial visit to UK's biggest rival to catch the Cardinals in action against Florida State.
And Williams was impressed.
Williams was on hand for a record crowd at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium as the Cardinals whipped then No. 2 Florida State 63-20. He said he was "blown away" by Lamar Jackson's performance for the Cardinals.
"I really enjoyed the game a lot," Williams said. "The atmosphere was nice. It was great."
Williams said U of L defensive coordinator Todd Grantham is recruiting him and keeps in touch, noting he could make a return to see the Cardinals again sometime later this season.
Central Gwinnett was off last week but Williams' last game was a 43-35 overtime win over Collins Hill were he ran 16 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns and completed 26 of 44 passes for 324 yards and three TDs.
