New Albany, Ind., 2018 star Romeo Langford - the top U of L target - will play this weekend at the John Lucas Camp in Louisville

New Albany, Ind., star Romeo Langford, the top target for the University of Louisville in the 2018 class, will compete this weekend in the John Lucas Midwest Invitational at MidAmerica Sports Complex in Louisville.

University of Louisville fans wanting to get a peek at some big-time talent, including Romeo Langford - can do so this weekend at the John Lucas Midwest Invitational at MidAmerican Sports Complex in Louisville.

Langford, the top target for the Cardinals in the 2018 class, will be among about 75 or so prospects in the '18, '19 and '20 classes competing in the Lucas event MidAmerica, which is on Watterson Trail.

The event will begin around noon and play will continue through around 8 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the campers will play from 8 a.m. until around 3 p.m. in the afternoon.

Langford is ranked as the No. 3 player in the '18 class by Scout.com, another  U of L target expected at the event is No. 5 '18 player Silvio De Sousa from Montverde, Fla., Academy.

Louisville has also shown interest in No. 46 '18 player Antwann Jones of Orlando, Fla., Oak Ridge, and Emmitt Williams, the No. 55 player in '18 from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Also expected is No. 2 ranked '19 player Charles Bassey and top 10 2020 prospect Che Evans.
