The University of Louisville football team has plucked another prospect from the state of Florida.
Seffner, Fla., Armwood defensive end Jabreel Stephens has given U of L coach Bobby Petrino and his staff a 21st commitment in the Class of 2017 with his pledge on Thursday morning.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Stephens picked the Cardinals over rival Kentucky.
Stephens is ranked as the No. 20 defensive end in the state of Florida and No. 96 overall at the position in the '17 class.
Scout.com analyst Corey Bender said Stephens is a "hybrid defender that measures in at nearly 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, is a disruptive kid that does a good job of disengaging and putting a body on the football. He also flashes nice anticipation and instincts with his ability to deflect balls at the line of scrimmage."
In five games this season Stephens has 27 tackles, including five sacks.
