A look back at the series between Western Kentucky and Old Dominion prior to Saturday's game at 7 p.m. in Bowling Green

WKUInsider will provide a weekly look at the series between the Western Kentucky University and that week's opponent. Well, this week is a conference home game for the Toppers as Old Dominion visits Houchens Stadium. The kickoff is Saturday at 6 p.m.

It's a short series between Western Kentucky and Old Dominion on the football field.

And the Toppers have racked up a lot of points in the two wins. Western Kentucky is 2-0 all-time against the Monarchs.

Western Kentucky won 66-51 in the first meeting two years ago in Bowling Green, while the Toppers rolled 55-30 last season at Old Dominion. The third meeting will take place on Saturday night at 6 p.m. in Houchens Stadium.

In the meeting last season, Ace Wales rushed for four touchdowns and the Toppers had 532 yards of total offense. Wales rushed 15 times for 184 yards and scored on runs of 1, 12, 44 and 49 yards.

Old Dominion comes off its bye week to make a trip to Bowling Green on a three-game winning streak.

The two teams have combined to score 202 points in two games.
