University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino has three pieces of his four-player recruiting class filled.
The fourth spot he'll work on this weekend.
The Cardinals will host Norcross, Ga., forward Lance Thomas for his official visit. Thomas is expected to arrive on campus Friday morning and will be at the Red-White scrimmage on Friday night and the football game on Saturday afternoon.
Thomas is also expected to be joined by U of L commitments Malik Williams and Darius Perry, who are expected in on unofficial visits.
Louisville is also expected to host several other prospects this weekend on unofficial visits, including Nashville, Tenn., '18 guard Darius Garland and Florida '18 guard Luguentz Dort.
The 6-foot-10 Thomas has already made visits to Miami and Florida and is expected to make a visit next weekend to USC before making his decision public on Nov. 1.
Louisville jumped in on Thomas during the summer, offering him a scholarship after a weekend showing in Augusta, Ga. Pitino and staff have quickly caught up with the other schools and Thomas put them in his final four and schedule the official visit over a month ago noting, the Cardinals' staff "have really been honest and really made up ground."
Thomas ranks as the No. 16 power forward in the 2017 recruiting class.
