The series between Louisville and Wake Forest is short.
But the series includes three wins by the Cardinals in three close games, including one of the biggest games in school history.
The first meeting between the two programs came in Jan. of 2007 when the Cardinals won a 24-13 decision in the Orange Bowl, which marked the first and only BCS Bowl Game the Cardinals ever played in.
The Cardinals then won 20-10 two years ago in the first year in the ACC and last year traveled to Winston Salem, N.C., and came away with a 20-19 victory over the Demon Deacons.
In the game last season, U of L quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for two touchdowns.
The Cardinals forced five turnovers in the second half last season, while Gerod Holliman had three interceptions in the game against the Demon Deacons two years ago in Louisville.
Louisville is a 35-point favorite.
