Louisville's Jaylen Johnson notched his second double-double of the young season with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and three others scored in double figures to lead the 12th-ranked Cardinals to an 88-56 win over visiting Long Beach State.
The Cardinals junior forward played just 18 minutes of the blowout victory, but his constant hustle at both ends of the floor enabled him to reach that double figures accomplishment for the second of his career.
"I think Jaylen is just - he's doing everything we'd hoped for and then more," U of L head coach Rick Pitino said. "He's going after every single rebound. He considers every shot a pass to him. He's posting up well. He's being very physical. It's great play by him, you got to really give him all the credit in the world, because when you play 18 minutes and get 14-11, shooting 7 for 11, that's a pretty darn good day's work."

Anas Mahmoud was close to recording a double-double himself with eight points and eight rebounds.
Freshman Ryan McMahon was quick off the bench and made an immediate impact. The guard was active at both ends of the floor recording career-bests with six points, on 2-of-2 shooting from beyond the three-point arc, and five assists. He also recorded a block and steal in 15 minutes of action.
"I was just impressed with his defense," Pitino said. "He's got a lot of savvy. I've got to give Dick Vitale credit. He discovered him, we listened to him."
Louisville improved to 3-0 on the season.
Up next for the Cardinals is a trip to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis event. U of L will face Old Dominion Wed., Nov. 26.
