Louisville quarterback commitment Malik Cunningham amassed five touchdowns in an Alabama playoff win on Friday night

University of Louisville football quarterback commitment Malik Cunningham had a big night on Friday, leading Park Crossing to a 54-51 victory over Blount in the Class 6-A quarterfinals of the Alabama playoffs.

Montgomery, Ala., Park Crossing quarterback Malik Cunningham, who has verbally committed to the University of Louisville, had a monster game in the Alabama Class 6-A quarterfinals on Friday night.

The 6-foot, 190-pound Cunningham amassed five touchdowns in a 54-51 win over Blount. 

It was a matchup of top teams in the state and came down to a last-second field goal by Park Crossing, which now meets Opelika in the 6-A semifinals next weekend.

Cunningham completed 15 of 22 passes for 292 yards and four touchdowns, while rushing 16 times for 77 yards and one more TD.

On the season, Cunningham has completed 65.1 percent of his passes for 2,613 yards and 28 TDs with just seven interceptions. He has rushed for 850 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season.

Park Crossing is 14-0 on the season.
