Montgomery, Ala., Park Crossing quarterback Malik Cunningham committed to the University of Louisville in mid-April but has still been hearing from several other schools in the process.
But for right now, Cunningham is a future U of L quarterback and on Monday he had a visit from his future coach.
U of L quarterbacks coach Nick Petrino was in Alabama to see Cunningham. The two had a "very good" chat about the future and also set up Cunningham's official visit with the Cardinals for Jan. 14-17.
Cunningham said he was "very excited" to get to the U of L campus.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Cunningham guided Park Crossing into the state semifinals before losing last weekend. He finished his career with 8,470 all-purpose yards. He passed for 6,553 yards and 71 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,917 yards and 32 TDs.
