Several Louisville football commitments have confirmed with Cardinal Authority their official visits dates with the Cardinals

Several University of Louisville football commitments have confirmed their official visit dates with Cardinal Authority.

The University of Louisville football staff has 22 verbal commitments in the Class of 2017.

The staff has been on the road all week recruiting and have checked in on most of the commitments on the list, including a few who have set up official visits with the Cardinals.

Cardinal Authority has tracked down a few of those prospects and confirmed the following official visit dates:

Fort Smith, Ark., Northside cornerback Tre Norwood will be among a group of prospects visiting Louisville next weekend.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Norwood had a sensational senior season for a 10-2 Northside team. He rushed for 293 yards and four touchdowns in a late-season victory over Southside.

Suwanee, Ga., Peachtree Ridge linebacker Kam Jones confirmed tonight that he was making his official visit also next weekend. Jones will be enrolling as a mid-year signee with the Cardinals.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Jones is ranked as the No. 48 inside linebacker in the country. He'll be able to participate in spring practice.

Nashville, Tenn., Ensworth safety Rodney Owens said he had a visit this week from U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis and set up his official visit for Jan. 14-17.

"It was great to have him over and talk to my parents," Owens said. "Everything is still good with Louisville for me."

Salem, Ga., wide receiver Justin Marshall has set his official visit for Jan. 21, while Hollywood, Fla., safety Anthony Johnson and Miramar, Fla., cornerback Kaheem Roach are all visiting on Jan. 14.
