Nashville, Tenn., Hillsboro defensive tackle Ben Hutch has committed to the University of Louisville. He's the No. 23 in the Class of 2017 for the Cardinals.

The University of Louisville football team has added commitment No. 23 to the Class of 2017.

Nashville, Tenn., Hillsboro defensive tackle Ben Hutch has picked the Cardinals over Texas A&M and Penn State during a ceremony at high high school on Tuesday morning.

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Hutch has been on U of L's campus multiple times, including for two games this season and the school's Friday Nights Lights camp in July. He is scheduled for an official visit to U of L on Jan. 22.

U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis is the main recruiter for Hutch, who is being recruited at U of L for the defensive line. Klenakis made an in-home visit to see Hutch on Sunday night to seal the deal.

Hutch joins Nashville, Tenn., Ensworth safety Rodney Owens as the second commitment in the class from Tennessee.
