It will be a busy weekend for Breon Dixon.
The four-star linebacker from Loganville, Ga., Grayson High School will play in the Class 7-A state championship game on Saturday night against Roswell in Atlanta. On Sunday, Dixon is expected to make an official visit to the University of Louisville.
A former commitment to Georgia, the 6-foot, 215-pound Dixon had over 25 scholarship offers - including Miami, Michigan, Tennessee, USC, Georgia, Mississippi State, LSU and California - and will play in the Under Armor All-American Game next month.
Dixon told Scout.com last week that U of L and Mississippi are his two finalists. He made a visit to Ole Miss to watch the Egg Bowl game against Mississippi State last month. He's expected to sign in two weeks and enroll at one of the two schools in January.
As a junior, Dixon had 12 sacks and four interceptions for Peachtree Ridge. He had been committed to Georgia for almost a year but left to attend Grayson during the summer and then in October de-committed from the Bulldogs.
He said U of L defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, who had an in-home visit last week, has been recruiting him since the ninth grade.
Dixon is listed as the No. 13 outside linebacker in the South and the No. 26 prospect at the position nationally.
