No. 11 Louisville (8-1) scored the game's first 13 points and was never challenged in it's home contest against Southern Illinois on Wednesday evening.
Sophomore Deng Adel recorded his first career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Mangok Mathiang led the team in scoring for the second time this season, finishing with 15 points, to lead the Cardinals to a 74-51 victory.
Jaylen Johnson nearly notched a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.

U of L limited Southern Illinois to just 35 percent shooting from the field to help mark the fifth time this season that the team has held an opponent to less than 70 points.
