University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino was in the Sunshine State recruiting for a few days and one prospect he checked out was Orlando Christian 2018 forward Nassir Little.
The 6-foot-6 Little, who ranks as the No. 47 prospect in the '18 class, said Pitino is showing "a lot of interest."
"They told me they really want me up there," Little said. "They feel like I can come in and be a key piece as a freshman.
"They said I fit their style of play and I really like Louisville a lot."
Little was watched several times by Pitino and assistant coach Mike Balado during the summer and Little made a visit to campus in early fall. Little said Notre Dame, Creighton, Virginia Tech and Florida were other schools after him the hardest.
"A lot of schools are making a big effort," he said. "There's a lot of interest."
While Pitino and his staff have been interested for a while, Little said the U of L coaches relayed the message that when watching him this weekend they noticed he was "improved in some areas."
"I've been working hard," Little said. "They noticed my improved shooting. I've improved a ton this year."
