Quentin Snider scored a career-high 22 points, including a big-time drive and score with 1:44 left and then Jaylen Johnson and Donovan Mitchell scored two points each in the final minutes as Louisville downed Kentucky 73-70.

It was the first time since 2012 in the series and the 50th meeting all-time between the two schools.

Snider didn't score last season against UK in Lexington but had a career high in this one and came through in his hometown. He put the Cardinals up 69-63 with a move down the lane but UK never went away.

Johnson scored on a putback with 16 seconds left and Mitchell hit two free throws with eight seconds left for a three-point edge that helped end a four-game losing streak in the series. Malik Monk missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.

U of L is now 11-1 on the season.
