Louisville sophomore forward Deng Adel suffered a concussion in the first half of the Georgia Tech game on Saturday.

University of Louisville sophomore forward Deng Adel suffered a concussion in the first half of Saturday's game at Georgia Tech.

Adel went to the ground after missing a shot in the first half and as he attempted to get up was unintentionally hit in the head by a Georgia Tech player running down the floor.

The 6-foot-7 Adel stayed on the floor until trainer Fred Hina went to attend to him. He was wobbly when Hina helped him off the floor.

Adel hit his first two three-point field-goal attempts in the game and left with seven points and three rebounds in 12 minutes.

He's the third U of L player this season to suffer a concussion. Anas Mahmoud missed three games earlier in the season and Saturday was the second game Matz Stockman has missed because of his concussion.

Adel is the team's third-leading scorer at 10.7 points a game.
