A few recruiting notes from the University of Louisville football program. A look at a couple of new offers and some visit news.

Top safety among those visiting

Louisville will host a lot of prospects this weekend, including Miramar, Fla., safety prospect Brian Edwards.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Edwards has been a top target for the Cardinals since he de-committed from Miami in late October.

Edwards is the No. 19 safety prospect in the South and the No. 6 player at his position in the state of Florida. He was on U of L's campus last spring and has been a target for the Cardinals' staff for a long time.

He's also expected to visit Syracuse on Jan. 20 and Miami on Jan. 27 before making a decision.
