Louisville coach Rick Pitino said he expects sophomore Deng Adel to return to practice on Tuesday; was injured in Saturday's game at Georgia Tech.

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino expects sophomore Deng Adel back at practice on Tuesday after suffering a mild concussion on Saturday in a game against Georgia Tech.

Pitino said the injury wasn't as severe as originally expected on the ACC teleconference on Monday.

"He won't practice today but he should be back tomorrow," Pitino said. "He should be ready to go on Wednesday."

The 6-foot-7 Adel left the game on Saturday in the first half after going down after missing a shot and then getting hit in the head with a knee. He was helped off the court by trainer Fred Hina and didn't return to the court.

Adel is the team's third-leading scorer at 10.7 points a game. He has started all 16 games this season for the Cardinals.
