Mike Summers is returning to Louisville as the new offensive line coach; Chris Klenakis will remain on staff as the tight ends coach

Mike Summers is returning to the University of Louisville as the new offensive line coach; Chris Klenakis will remain on staff as the tight ends coach and will be the co-coordinator with Summers.

Mike Summers is returning to the University of Louisville.

Cardinal Authority has confirmed that Summers - a former coach at U of L - has left Florida and will return to Louisville as the co-offensive coordinator and the offensive line coach. Summers is a longtime friend and former coach at U of L with Bobby Petrino.

Chris Klenakis, the U of L offensive line coach the past three seasons, will remain on staff. Klenakis will be the tight ends coach and will also retain the title of co-offensive coordinator.

Summers and Klenakis were both seen at the Louisville-Duke basketball game.

A 36-year coaching veteran, Summers coaches at U of L from 2003-06 and then spent one year with the Atlanta Falcons, two years at Arkansas and three years at the University of Kentucky.

He's been at Florida since 2013.
