Louisville Christian Academy sophomore quarterback Austin Carr led his team to the Kentucky Class 2-A state title this past season and plays for former University of Louisville quarterback Stefan LeFors.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Carr hasn't landed a scholarship offer just yet.
But on Saturday Carr made another unofficial visit to the U of L campus and is "hoping" for the best from the staff at Louisville. Carr spent time with some of the top in-state targets in the '18 and '19 classes at the U of L-Duke basketball game.
"Louisville is showing a lot of interest," Carr said. "I had a great time (at the game). The atmosphere was awesome and I talked with coach Nick (Petrino) and coach K (Chris Klenakis) along with coach Pete (Nochta) and coach (Dave) Boller.
"It was all really good."
Carr has made several unofficial visits to the U of L campus, including stops in for a few games last season, and was also a standout performer last summer at U of L's Quarterback Camp.
As a sophomore, Carr completed 113 of 204 passes for 1,610 yards and 21 touchdowns with just seven interceptions.
Lefors confirmed Christian Academy sophomore wide receiver/defensive back star Milton Wright also made the trip to the Yum Center for the basketball game with his father on Saturday.
