Louisville tight end commit Kemari Averett has been committed to the Cardinals since June and his official visit with his future program confirmed his early decision.
The 6-foot-6, 205-pound prospect from Atlanta (Ga.) Grady High School has drawn interest from other program in recent weeks but said that his time in Louisville over the weekend "was great."
Rated among the nation's top 50 tight ends, Averett told Cardinal Authority prior to his trip that he wanted to make sure that he felt "comfortable" with his new coaches and teammates.
After spending more than two days on campus, and despite a future trip schedule with Auburn, the future Cardinal added that the time "most definitely" locked up his commitment.
During his time at U of L, he toured the campus, met with coaches and enjoyed some of what the city has to offer. His favorite thing from the trip was "hanging with the players and making a bond."
Averett is the No. 1 tight end in Georgia and No. 7 in the South region.
