Justin Marshall had been to the University of Louisville campus a bunch.
But this weekend he said was a little extra "special" because it was his official visit with the Cardinals and he was able to sit with the coaching staff and talk about the future for him and his teammates.
"I've been there plenty of times but I got to hear about the plan," Marshall said. "The visit was great and really showed me how I made the right decision. I'm excited to be getting there.
"The staff has been telling me for a long time the opportunity is there for me. If I come in and work, I can play."
Marshall said he has shut down the recruiting process and will sign on Feb. 1.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound three-star from Conyers, Ga., said the staff told him to keep working and get stronger.
"It's a matter of me doing it for myself," he said. "If I can come in and just do what I do then I can play."
Marshall said he got to spend some time with Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson but noted he didn't even ask for a photo because "we know what we're all here for, the same thing and that's to win."
"It was pretty cool," Marshall admitted about hanging with Jackson.
