Future Louisville defensive tackle Ben Hutch made his official visit with the Cardinals program over the weekend. The three-star prospect from Nashville (Tenn.) Hillsboro left his latest trip to U of L excited about the future of the program for he and his fellow incoming commits.
"It went good I felt," he told Cardinal Authority. "Like this bond we share in BirdGang17 just got even stronger."
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive lineman chose Louisville over scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee and a host of others. Now, after his time meeting with defensive line coach L.D. Scott and new defensive coordinator Peter Sirmon, Hutch will focus on prepping for a freshman season that could result in him seeing time on the field.
"He told me I need to get it together because I'm going get early playing time," he said.
Rated as the No. 2 defensive tackle in the Volunteer State, Hutch ranks among the nation's top 75 at his position nationally. He was selected to the Offense-Defense All-American game.
