Louisville OL commit receives an in-home visit from Chris Klenakis

Future Louisville offensive lineman Ronald Rudd receives a visit from Cardinals assistant Chris Klenakis

Chaffey College offensive tackle Ronald Rudd, who continues to wrap-up his junior college career in preparation of joining Louisville this spring, welcomed Cardinals assistant Chris Klenakis for a visit on Sunday.

"It went great," he told Cardinal Authority.

With two years of junior college ball experience, the 6-foot-7, 310-pound lineman, along with the coaching staff, anticipates making an impact when he joins the team.

"They expect me to come in ready - physically and mentally - to go from day one," he said.  "Since I'm coming in as a junior they expect some leadership for the underclassmen."

That leadership has already started.  He has joined U of L's other commitments in a group chat and they all discuss their future often.

"All the commits, we group chat daily, and we all are getting to know each other more and building a brotherhood."

A one-time UCLA commit, Rudd is a member of the Scout JUCO Top 100, checking in at No. 48 nationally.  He also considered scholarship offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Kansas State, Washington State and others prior to deciding to become a Cardinal.

"I can't wait to give it my all in the Ville," he said.

Rudd will arrive in Louisville on May 29 to begin summer school.
