Louisville is expected to host a pair of official visitors on the final weekend before National Signing Day

The University of Louisville is expected to host a pair of official visitors on the final weekend before National Signing Day.

It's the stretch run before National Signing Day for college football coaches.

And the University of Louisville staff will continue hosting official visitors this weekend just days before next Wednesday's signing day.

The group of visitors this weekend is only expected to be two but both would be huge late additions.

Hampton, Va., four-star defensive tackle Elijah Conliffe and Miami Booker T. Washington outside linebacker Guy Thomas are the two prospects expected to make visits to the U of L campus starting Friday.

Louisville has 22 verbal commitments heading into the weekend. The Cardinals are still in the mix for at least six other prospects who are expected to make decisions between now and Wednesday.

U of L expects to sign 24 prospects on signing day.

The four-star Conliffe visited Florida last week and the Gators appear to be the favorites but Penn State and Tennessee are also in the mix and all four have a legitimate shot to land the No. 3 defensive tackle in the East. Conliffe is being recruited by Lonnie Galloway.

The current commitment to Nebraska has also visited Pittsburgh and the word is the Panthers might lead for his recruitment heading into the final visit. Thomas is the No. 44 outside linebacker in the country.
