University of Louisville basketball commitment Anfernee Simons is headed back to The 'Ville.
The 6-foot-3 four-star prospect, who committed to the Cardinals in early November, will be making his official visit to the Louisville campus on Saturday. He's expected to arrive Saturday morning and will be at the Yum Center for Sunday's game against N.C. State.
Simons scored 35 points in an Edgewater victory on Friday night.
The No. 45 player in the Class of 2018 by Scout.com, Simons picked U of L over Florida, Miami, Florida State, UCF, Oklahoma State, Virginia and Virginia Tech. During the spring and summer, Simons played for Team Breakdown in the 16's division and led the league in scoring with 22.9 points a game. He connected on 43.3-percent of his 97 three-point attempts.
Pitino and his staff checked him out a number of times during the spring and summer.
Simons is averaging over 25 points a game for Edgewater.
