BIO: Mitch Hall is rated as the No. 2 long snapper in the country and it's the first time in recent memory the Cardinals have used a scholarship for his position. Hall was an U.S. Army All-American and was a second-team Scout.com Senior All-American.
LEAD RECRUITER: Tony Grantham
RECRUITMENT: Hall also has a full scholarship offer from Memphis and had preferred walk-on spots from Tennessee, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina State and Penn State.
WHY U OF L: Hall said he knew his position didn't land many scholarship, so when the Louisville offer came in he didn't waste too much time in committing. He said the U of L staff told him they needed a long snapper.
EXPECTED MAJOR: Exercise Science
EVALUATION: Expected to be a player to see the field right away, Hall has great form and amazing confidence. His snap times as a senior in high school were that of a collegiate player and his placement is off the charts.
QUOTABLE: "Coach (Bobby) Petrino told me nothing is given, but the plan is for me to come in and start for four years."
BOTTOM LINE: It's been at least seven years since the Cardinals have had a bad snap, so there will be some pressure on Hall. But he called that "good pressure."
