BIO: Originally a player at Salem High School, Justin Marshall finished his career at the Georgia Prep Sports Academy. As a junior, Marshall averaged 22.3 yards a catch at Salem. He was selected to play in the Offense-Defense All-American game and led the Eastern Athletic Conference in yards per catch as a senior.
LEAD RECRUITER: Lonnie Galloway
RECRUITMENT: Marshall had 30 offers when he committed to Louisville in August, picking the Cardinals over North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, Auburn, Minnesota, Purdue and Tennessee among others.
WHY U OF L: Galloway targeted Marshall early in the process and was actually recruiting him when he was at West Virginia. Marshall said Devante Parker is his favorite athlete and wanted to follow in his foot steps.
EXPECTED MAJOR: Psychology
EVALUATION: Marshall is a big-time deep threat with 4.5 40-yard speed, strong tracking skills and great ball skills. He's a guy who will be able to stretch the field in the Petrino system.
QUOTABLE: "The staff has been telling me for a long time the opportunity is there for me," Marshall said. "If I come in and work, I can play. It's all about me doing what I'm supposed to do."
BOTTOM LINE: He's a playmaker and expect him to make a lot of plays at Louisville.
