Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino was in Florida earlier this week, watching four big men.

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino said earlier in the week that recruiting was "going great" for the future.

The Cardinals have a big-time 2018 commitment with Anfernee Simons and are in good with several other elite '18 guards, including Courtney Ramey, Romeo Langford, Darius Garland and Elijah Weaver.

Now, Pitino is starting to search for a big man.

The Hall of Fame coach spent a day in Florida earlier in the week checking out four prospects who could help, mostly in the post.

Pitino started the recruiting trip at West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Fla., watching two '18 prospects expected to play this offseason on the same Team Breakdown team with Simons and Weaver.

Moustapha Diene is a 6-foot-10 center, while DJ Diagne is a 6-foot-8 forward.

Pitino and assistant Mike Balado then went to Melbourne to watch Florida Prep Academy big men Mbacke Diong and Lahat Thioune. Both players are from Senegal and have been in Florida since last summer.

Diong is listed as a 6-foot-10 senior, while Thioune is a 6-foot-11 junior.

It was the second time Pitino has seen the two big men and assistant Kenny Johnson also saw them last month.
