Among a talented crop of 2018 prospects in the city of Louisville is Seneca's Tiriq Davis, a 6-foot, 220-pound athlete who plays both linebacker and running back.
Davis spent part of his Saturday making an unofficial visit with the hometown Cardinals. He, along with a handful of others, attended the school's basketball game, a comeback win over Miami, at the KFC Yum! Center as guests of the football program.
"I had an amazing time," he informed Cardinal Authority. "It always feels like a dream every time I step foot on campus. The atmosphere is crazy at every game."
It wasn't the first visit for Davis, who has been impressed by both the U of L coaching staff and the support of Card Nation.
"They have an amazing staff," he said. The fans are very supportive, win or lose its definitely somewhere I want to play in the future."
Davis has yet to visit with new U of L defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Peter Sirmon, but anticipates doing so soon.
"I didn't get a chance to meet coach Sirmon yet, but I look forward to meeting him in the spring or at camp in the summer."
Davis will visit Louisville again for the program's Junior Day next month. He also plans to camp with the Cardinals, as well as at Western Kentucky, Purdue, Kentucky and Indiana.
